"The scariest part of my eating disorder was feeling alone – that there was no-one else I could talk to. One call to the beat helpline changed that. Thank you."
A beat helpline caller

As the UK’s leading eating disorders charity, beat works to support the 1.1 million people affected by eating disorders in the UK. We operate dedicated telephone helplines and a UK-wide self help network, making sure no-one is left facing an eating disorder on their own.

Here’s how you can help beat eating disorders:

  • £10 allows beat to answer five questions on the helpline messageboards – giving more people the information and support they need.
  • £100 lets beat train a Young Ambassador – so they can let everyone know that eating disorders can be beaten.
  • £500 lets beat set up two self help groups – making sure fewer carers and families are left on their own.

You can donate to beat in several ways:

  • By post – send a cheque to beat, Wensum House, 103 Prince of Wales Road, Norwich, NR1 1DW.
  • On the web – visit www.b-eat.co.uk/DonateNow
  • By direct debit – contact Robert Jackman for more information.
